The Process of Building Community Alert Systems: A Case Study of Community Consultation

This case study of Coode Island tracks the community and agency engagement process which was the first step in the development of an integrated model of community warning. This study has recognised the citizenship role of community members and shared responsibility of major hazard facilities, local government, emergency services and community residents.
